Why PhocaX exists
PhocaX is being built as a lean, AI-enabled biotech company that intends to originate and advance therapeutic programs. Our scientific focus is peptide delivery: designing around stability, route, usability, manufacturability, and validation from the start.
The company thesis
Peptides can be selective, designable, and biologically meaningful. Their development can also be constrained by stability, exposure, delivery route, dosing burden, manufacturing, safety, and regulatory questions. PhocaX treats those constraints as part of the therapeutic design problem.
PhocaX is exploring delivery-system concepts intended to make peptide therapeutics more practical. The company remains early stage and does not claim a tested or qualified formulation, clinical-stage pipeline, proven efficacy, safety, or regulatory approval.
AI supports evidence mapping, research, documentation, planning, coordination, and gatekeeping across the company. Qualified scientists and expert reviewers remain responsible for scientific, quality, IP, regulatory, manufacturing, safety, and clinical judgments.
Operating principle
Explore bold scientific ideas, but advance them only through explicit evidence and expert gates. PhocaX does not present a hypothesis as a result, AI output as scientific authority, or a program direction as a tested therapeutic product.
Founder perspective
Founder Joshua Hedde first saw how capable scientific providers can struggle to reach likely-fit clients while working with a small startup CRO. As a graduate researcher, he has also seen the buyer side: scientists and lean teams trying to turn a real research need into a comparable, executable external path.
That experience shapes both parts of PhocaX—the long-term peptide biotechnology company and the current service that helps biotech teams, CROs, and researchers make the work easier to scope, evaluate, and move forward.
What PhocaX is building
The aim is to connect opportunity discovery, mechanism and evidence review, peptide and delivery strategy, IP and regulatory questions, staged validation, external development partners, and portfolio decisions in one traceable company system. Current scientific and operating services are capabilities inside that larger build—not the endpoint.
